Dear Sir or Madam,
Greetings from Seoul National University, we sincerely hope our message finds you all well and healthy! This
is Hyungsun Shin, an administrative staff member of the office of
International Affairs at SNU Business school. Here I write this e-mail
to ask you for cooperation in promoting our startup competition.
The
DB-SNU Global Startup Challenge, a start-up competition for college
students singled out from the top universities of seven Asian countries,
celebrates its second anniversary in 2021.
The
DB-SNU Global Startup Challenge event gives top students in Asia a
chance to grow into value creating leaders through firsthand experience
launching a mock startup. Students get advising on the basics of
business idea formation, determining product market fit, product design,
product prototyping, testing, team creation, project management,
marketing and acquiring investment financing.
This
competition is hosted by both the DB Group, a large South Korean
company focused on innovative green technology and financial services,
and Seoul National University, the number one ranked higher education
institution in Korea.
In our inaugural competition,
a total of 559 students on 147 teams from 10 Asian countries presented a
variety of start-up ideas and business cases so it ended in great
success.
National Economics University also had great interest in this
competition to encourage many students from NEU to participate in. Thank
you for the cooperation and we look forward to your continued support
and cooperation this year.
For the 2021 session, the gathering will be held online due to COVID-19.
The theme of the competition will also be limited to the field of startup, and it will become an even more specialized event.
Through
active partnership of Seoul National University and National Economics
University, we expect talented students from NEU will enter our
competition and get positive results.
Here are suggested promotional tactics to create student interest:
- Post information about the competition on your university's main website and include our promotional video.
- Introduce the competition to your department of business administration and university affiliated startup center.
- Promote the competition in the university’s official media outlets such as newspaper, social media and community platforms.
We
hope that continuous conversation and active partnership between Seoul
National University and National Economics University will turn this
competition into a platform for talented Asian college students to grow
their entrepreneurial skills.

The Korea Management Association (KMA), South Korea's top
